The effect of cold is also visible on trains, buses and traffic.

Due to dense fog, more than 60 trains going to and coming from Delhi have been affected. 51 trains are running late. 10 trains are delayed by 6 to 7 hours. The timings of 10 trains have been changed.
What did the Meteorological Department say?
According to the India Meteorological Department, the temperature in Delhi was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius at 5.30 am on Sunday. The temperature of the city at this time yesterday was 10.2 degrees Celsius. Due to fog, many trains are running late at New Delhi Railway Station. Meanwhile, the air quality in the national capital remains in the 'very poor' category.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI in Delhi was recorded at 377 at 6 am today. It was 385 at this time yesterday. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor' and 401 and 500 'severe'. Many homeless people were seen staying in night shelters as the harsh winter continued.
Passengers facing inconvenience at the airport
A thick layer of fog engulfed Delhi on Sunday morning, disrupting flight and train services in the national capital. The city experienced a cold wave in the morning and temperatures dropped. Several flights were delayed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport due to the fog.
"While landings and take-offs are continuing at Delhi airport, flights not CAT III compliant may be affected. Passengers are requested to contact the concerned airline for flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted," Delhi airport said.
