Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that if Mahayuti wins the Mumbai Municipal Corporation i.e. BMC elections, he will give the people of Mumbai the Mumbai of their dreams. After an important meeting of Shiv Sena leaders at Ramtek bungalow in Mumbai, Shinde said that today’s meeting was about the Municipal Corporation elections in Mumbai. He said that just like Mahayuti fought the assembly elections with full force, it will fight the civic elections in the same way. Let us tell you that Shiv Sena MLAs and various officials from Mumbai were present at this meeting.

‘Mahayuti will contest the civic elections with full force’

After the meeting, Shinde said, ‘Today’s meeting was regarding the Mumbai Mahapalika elections. Mahayuti won the assembly elections with full force. The people of Mumbai will get the full benefit of the work done by our Mahayuti government in the last 2.5 years. This was a very important meeting. Just like Mahayuti fought the assembly elections with full force, we will fight the civic elections as well, win with a huge majority, and make Mumbai the way people want it. Mumbai is an international city where people from all over the world come, so there should be all the facilities here. The work that should have been done earlier was not done but many works have started during our tenure.’

Had performed brilliantly in the assembly elections

Let us tell you that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti performed brilliantly in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Mahayuti broke the back of the opposition by winning 235 out of 288 seats in those elections. Other major constituents of the Mahayuti include Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party. Talking about BMC, it is currently occupied by Shiv Sena (UBT) and if Mahayuti succeeds in snatching it from Uddhav Thackeray, then his political existence will suffer a major blow. It is believed that after the big defeat in the assembly elections, it will not be easy for Shiv Sena (UBT) to maintain its dominance over BMC.
