Union Ministry of Home Affairs: Big changes are being made by the Home Ministry. Yes, now if any newborn is born in the family, then information related to the religion of the parents will have to be given in the registration of the child’s birth. Under this, it is necessary to enter information related to the child’s parents separately. According to the rule till now, information related to the religion of the family was recorded at the time of the birth of the child. But now the Home Ministry has prepared draft model rules in this regard. This draft has been sent by the Home Ministry to the state governments.
Related information will be entered in the new column
Earlier, there was a column for the religion of the family in the registration form number 1 related to the birth of a child. But now one more column has been added to it. In this column, information related to the religion of the child’s parents will have to be given. Form No. 1 will also be necessary for the adoption process. Let us tell you that according to the Birth-Death Registration (Amendment) Act passed last year, registration of births and deaths will also be necessary at the national level.
Records of these things will be maintained from this database.
According to the news published in Dainik Bhaskar, the government is making big plans regarding this in the future. According to newspaper sources, documents like the National Population Register (NPR), Aadhar Card, Voter List, Ration Card, Passport, and Driving License will be updated based on the database obtained from the new Form No. 1 of Birth Registration. This digital certificate related to the birth of the child will be valid as a single document. Not only this, it will also be valid as a birth certificate at the time of admission to any school or college.
Apart from this, now in the death certificate prepared after someone’s death, along with the recent cause of death, information related to the old disease will also have to be given. Registrar General of India (RGI) has made it mandatory to give information related to chronic disease along with the immediate cause in the death certificate. RGI will maintain the data on births and deaths across the country at the national level.
