NEET UG 2026 paper leak: CBI arrests 5, raids cities- And say it has just started

CBI team conducts raids at several places in connection with NEET UG-2026 paper leak case. So far, 5 accused have been arrested in this case and raids are underway to find more accused. The CBI says that the CBI will arrest each of the accused involved in this case and teach them a lesson they will never forget.

Based on a written complaint from the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, the CBI has registered a case on May 12. The written complaint alleged discrepancies in the conducting of NEET UG-2026 exam and paper leak, which resulted in the lodging of an FIR under various provisions of Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Corruption Act and Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 such as criminal conspiracy, cheating, and criminal breach of trust.

In this case, so far 5 suspects have been arrested in this case. Three were arrested in Jaipur, while one each was arrested from Gurugram and Nashik respectively. In addition to this, investigation with many suspects is still underway.

Electronic devices and incriminating documents recovered:
Many locations in the country were also searched. Several electronic devices such as mobile phones and many incriminating documents were recovered in the search operation. CBI is also coordinating with Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG), which initially investigated the case. The probe agency is exploring all aspects of the paper leak with technical and forensic analysis. According to CBI, the investigation in the case will continue with a fair, in-depth and professional manner.

Dinesh has sold guess papers to 10 children:
There has been a major revelation in the investigation of this case. Accused Dinesh has sold guess papers to 10 children for cash. During the investigation, it was also revealed by accused Dinesh that he had got guess papers from Yash of Gurugram. Dinesh Bival is said to be connected to a political party of Jaipur. The CBI has arrested 2 brothers from Jamwa Ramgarh town of Jaipur district.

Student organizations demonstrated:
There is anger among students and parents over the NEET UG-2026 paper leak case. Students want those who leaked the papers to be punished severely. At the same time, student organizations have demanded the removal of the NTA in this matter. After the NSUI and SFI, the ABVP student activists are also demonstrating against the NTA.
