Delhi Bus Gang Rape: Two Arrested After Woman Assaulted on Moving Sleeper Bus in Rani Bagh

In a disturbing incident, an intoxicated man and his driver gang-raped a woman on the move inside a sleeping bus at Rani Bagh in Delhi on Monday night. The victim was allegedly said to be 30 years of age. On receiving the complaint from the victim, the police had immediately registered a case and both of the accused were arrested while the private sleeper bus had also been taken into custody.

According to the information received by the police, it is believed that at first they both forcibly took the victim in some bus and then took her in a sleeping bus at which both had committed the gang-rape of the lady. At first the victim managed to escape out of the hands of both accused and then she approached the police and lodged a written complaint at the Rani Bagh police station. On receiving the statement the police lodged an F.I.R. Against both accused.

Two accused were arrested by police
With reference to the shocking incident and on receiving a written complaint from victim, two of the involved accused were arrested with swift response from Delhi Police officials who believed the crime was done by the two of the accused who are being inquired to ascertain if any other persons are involved and also the concerned route along with the persons onboard in the bus.

CCTV footage is being checked by the police officials
With reference to the incident and investigation, police has collected various evidence from the spot along with the bus which was then taken to the police station and searched by a forensic team so as to take all evidence from the vehicle itself and they are also checking all nearby CCTV footage from the surrounding to clarify every part of the incident so as to support victim's testimony.

Delhi police officials reported that case is being thoroughly investigated at every angle and they are trying to investigate it how and under what circumstances they could enter the bus, the two accused persons are under custody and they are being investigated if any other person has involvement in the case and both are not revealing anything clearly and police is trying to prepare the case against them on the basis of their own statements and technical evidence.
