Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accepted the demands of junior doctors who went on strike after the rape murder of a lady doctor in Kolkata. The CM announced to take three out of five demands. Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar has questioned the CM’s approach and demanded her resignation. Dr. Sukanta Majumdar said that earlier she said she would not remove the CP. The people of Bengal were demanding that action be taken. The agitation was going on in every nook and corner of Bengal. He further said that the BJP knows that this is the failure of the government and if anyone is responsible for this, then it is neither a police officer nor anyone else, the main accused is Mamata Banerjee. Four officers including CP were punished.
Taking a big action in the RG Kar Hospital rape-murder case, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced the removal of four officers including Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal and Deputy Commissioner (North). At the same time, CM Banerjee has accepted the demand of the protesting junior doctors to remove Director of Medical Education Kaustav Nayak and Director of Health Services Debashish Haldar. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has agreed to remove the top four officials of the state government after a two-hour meeting with junior doctors.
