1. Full-Fat Dairy Products
Milk is a nutritious food, but full-fat dairy items can raise LDL cholesterol. Avoid high-fat milk, creamy yogurt, and cheese, as they contain saturated fats and sodium that contribute to cholesterol buildup.
2. Red Meat
Though red meat is a protein source, it’s also high in saturated fat. Cooking it with heavy oils and spices further increases its cholesterol content. Limiting red meat can support heart health.
3. Deep-Fried Foods
Fried items like French fries and fried chicken, especially those sold in restaurants and fast-food outlets, are often cooked in oils high in trans fats. Regular consumption can raise cholesterol and damage cardiovascular health.
4. Sugar and Sugary Foods
While sweet treats are tempting, excess sugar intake contributes to high cholesterol and increases the risk of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Minimize sweets, desserts, and sugary beverages in your daily diet.
