Hamas militants and Israel have formally broke the ceasefire agreement, allowing for Israel’s ground forces to operature in the Gaza Strip. Limited ground operations began yesterday after the IDF performed airstrikes on the Gaza Strip that executed over 400 Palestinians.

“Final Alerts Given to Citizens of Gaza”

The Israeli Defense Forces stated that their soldiers “Have targeted ground shifts within the southern and central boundaries of Gaza Strip to expand the security zone and relieve pressure of buffers in the lower and upper Gaza Strip.”

Wednesday, on the other hand, marks the day Israel provided a final alert to the citizens of the land suggesting that the hostages are needed to be returned to power devoid of Hamas occupying the ruling seat.

In addressing “the residents of Gaza,” Katz said, “This is the last warning,” in reference to his video footage.

“Listen to the President of the United States. Give up the hostages and get rid of Hamas, and you will be opened to other options – including, for those willing, the possibility of departing to other parts of the world.”

America's Trump's alert for Gaza citizens

In parallel, Trump had previously warned Gaza people that should the Israeli captives not get freed, they are mutually sentenced to become dead.

“To the People of Gaza. A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you choose to be Hostage Takers. If so, you are DEAD!” was Trump’s message.

Impact of Israel-Hamas War on Gaza

The Gaza Strip, occupying 365 sq km, is home to over two million Palestinians, many of who have been forcibly displaced from their villages because of Israel’s systematic ethnic cleansing. has mostly been for the brunt of the continuing war.

Hamas, Islamic Resistance Movement Gaza, has been the de facto authority since 2007. Over 50 of the 251 Israelis captured during the October 7, 2023, operation by the Palestinian resistance are believed to be in Gaza.

Even with the US and Israel calling for the immediate release of the hostages, there is a palpable dread amongst their family members of the hostages that the recent strikes and escalations by the IDF would work against their safe return.
