To those who tuned in to Coldplay’s Mumbai concert on Day 3 of their “Music of the Spheres” World Tour, it was nothing short of fairy tale but there was one particular moment that went viral on the internet. Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin tried to tickle the audience’s funny bone when he read what he said was a letter from lawyers of Indian cricketer, Jasprit Bumrah.

Chris Martin, the lead singer, jokingly read the letter that claimed the band should slow down because Bumrah, India’s main fast bowler, feared damage to his arm “from excessive dancing.”
The audience was laughing their heads off especially when Martin said the lines with a touch of solemnity and humor.
He then tied the gag that they would “keep things under control” but said “as ever. no promises can be made.”
Relating to the local tradition, Martin followed the trend of Coldplay’s world tours by making a playful reference to another Indian cricketing hero, Jasprit Bumrah.
