According to studies, 90-120 minutes of strength training per week is ideal for health.
If you do 90-120 minutes of strength training, your chances of dying from any cause decrease by 13 percent.
If you add some aerobics in your daily routine with the same, the health benefits will be multi-fold.

Useful in Heart & Nerve Diseases

The major finding of this research is that 90-120 minutes of strength training significantly decreases your chances of severe disease:

Heart disease- With strength training, your risk of death due to heart disease reduces by 19 percent.
Nerve and Neurodegenerative diseases- This research demonstrates up to 27 percent reduction in risk of death due to nerve diseases.

More training does not mean more benefits

It's not that more or tougher training gives you more benefit. The researchers state that strength training over 120 minutes does not confer any additional benefit.
