Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Cases of online trolling and cyber-bullying are on the rise and a disturbing incident has been reported from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. A social media influencer, Anita Vishnoi, who was distressed after being subjected to trolling on social media platforms, consumed poison and was rushed to MDM Hospital, where she is in a critical condition. Her family has claimed that she has been experiencing mental distress for a long time due to continuous social media trolling, derogatory comments, and alleged threats received through social media.

Her video was about clothes getting smaller.

A few days ago, Anita uploaded a video on her social media handle, in which she addressed the ongoing trend of shorter clothing. She stated, "Clothes have become shorter, then where will shame come from? Roti has become bread, so where will the strength come from? Flowers have become plastic, so where will the fragrance come from? The face has become made-up, so where will the simplicity come from? And the food has become hotel food, so where will the taste come from?".

After that video,Anita has become a frequent target of female influencers on social media and even men have continued to troll her online. Fed up with responding to trolls again and again, she finally resorted to extreme measures and drank an insecticide today. Anita is currently undergoing treatment in the critical care unit of Mathuradas Mathur Hospital and her health is reported to be critical.

Anita Vishnoi is a content creator whose videos usually focus on Rajasthani culture, social issues and public awareness. According to her husband Dinaram, some people had been harassing her on social media with repeated trolling and objectionable comments since she posted the video. Her family members have claimed that besides trolling, she has also been receiving alleged threatening messages on her WhatsApp account.

Anita is receiving treatment and the police are gathering information regarding the case. Well-wishers are praying for her speedy recovery. Her husband Dinaram alias Dinesh said that Anita was constantly being threatened and trolled through social media. Anita had even posted a video before consuming the insecticide where she also alleged that about some time ago there was a property dispute with someone during which she had been threatened. Anita alleges that six men and two women are part of the conspiracy to troll and degrade her, she suspects others might also be involved.
