Kumbh Mela 2025 :  Maha Kumbh is being organized in Prayagraj but its effect will also be seen in Varanasi. Actually, lakhs of pilgrims coming to Kumbh Mela come directly to Baba Vishwanath's city Kashi after bathing in Sangam and after bathing in Ganga, they offer water to Baba Vishwanath. In such a situation, the number of pilgrims also increases in Kashi. Keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees coming to worship Baba Vishwanath, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Trust has released the time table of the five-day aarti of Baba Vishwanath on normal days and the time table of Maha Kumbh Mela (13 January to 12 February 2025).

What is the time?

During the general dates from 13th January to 26th February, on Mondays, Poornima and Mahashivratri, the Mangala Aarti timings will be 2.45am, Midday Bhog Aarti timings will be 11.35am, Saptarishi Aarti timings will be 7pm, Shringar-Bhog Aarti timings will be 8.45pm and Shayan Aarti timings will be 10.30pm. 

During the Maha Kumbh Mela, on every Monday, i.e. 20, 27 January and 3, 10, 17, 24 February 2025, the time for Shringar-Bhog Aarti will be 9 pm and Shayan Aarti will be performed at 10.45 pm.

The time of Saptarishi and Shringar Aarti will change on the full moon date

During the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, the timings have been changed on the full moon day at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham keeping in mind the crowd and convenience of the devotees. In such a situation, after the change made by the temple administration in the timings of Saptarishi Aarti and Shringar-Bhog Aarti of Baba Vishwanath on 13 January and 12 February 2025, Saptarishi Aarti will start at 6.15 pm, while Shringar-Bhog Aarti will be done at 8 pm. There will be no change in the timings of Mangala Aarti, Midday Bhog Aarti and Shayan Aarti.

Baba's court will remain open all night on Mahashivratri

Mahashivratri is on the last day of Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 i.e. 26th February. In such a situation, apart from the Akharas of Naga sect, a large number of devotees will come to worship Baba Vishwanath and perform Jalabhishek of Baba Vishwanath. In such a situation, according to tradition, 3 aartis of Baba Vishwanath are not performed on Mahashivratri. On this day, the doors of Mahadev will be opened for the devotees at 2.15 am. The Bhog Aarti to be held in the afternoon will start from 11.35 pm and will continue till 12.35 pm. After which Saptarishi Aarti, Shringar-Bhog Aarti, and Shayan Aarti of Bholenath will not be held on the day of Mahashivratri. Along with this, the door of Baba Vishwanath, which opened after Mangal Aarti, will not be closed the whole night. There will be four pahars of Aarti throughout the night from 11 pm to 6.30 am. Mangala Aarti will also not be performed on the second day of Mahashivratri.
