A man has been arrested in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, who was claiming himself to be an IPS officer and was threatening the staff of the hotel where he was staying. He is also threatening the hotel staff to get the hotel sealed by showing his ID. When the hotel staff informed the police about this, the police reached the spot, where the police came to know the truth.
Dispute over rent
Police said that a person named Indranil Roy was staying with his family in a hotel in Sector 51 of Noida. During check-out, when the manager asked for the hotel rent, he started saying that he was a 2000 batch IPS officer and worked in the country’s intelligence agency RAW. He was also showing off his position to the hotel staff by showing a fake ID and not paying the money.
The manager called the police
When the accused Indranil Roy did not pay the rent on repeated requests, he started luring the employees by saying that he could get them a government job if they got the right amount. After this, the hotel manager informed the police about this.

On receiving the information, Sector-49 police station Noida police immediately reached Quadis H 22 Sector-51 Noida Hotel, where a fake ID was recovered from the accused Indranil Rai son of Tapan Kumar Rai (55) and he was arrested. Police said that Indranil Rai is 55 years old and he is a resident of BF Salt Lake near North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.

During further interrogation, accused Indranil said that he used to run a transport business earlier but in the last few years his business has not made any profit. Indranil Roy got this fake ID made for his interest so that he could take advantage of this ID whenever required. Police further told that a fake ID card, PAN card, voter card, Aadhar card, passport, and a mobile phone had been recovered from the accused.
