Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Gaza’s ceasefire proposal backed by the US suggests a 60 day armistice, hostage and prisoner exchanges, and the restoration of aid to Gaza. This deal is said to be backed by Trump, while Egypt and Qatar play the role of mediators.

Important Details of the Ceasefire Proposal

During the first week, the release of both the living and deceased hostages, 28 Israelis, will occur.

In exchange, 180 deceased Palestinians alongside 125 living, but imprisoned Palestinians, would be released.

The moment Hamas signs the ceasefire, aid would start getting sent to Gaza.

The remaining 30 Israeli hostages would only be released after a firmer ceasefire deal is met.

Mixed Responses from Both Sides:

Reportedly, Israel is in agreement with the US suggested truce. However, Hamas has not responded, claiming they are still reviewing the proposal. A statement will be issued on Friday or Saturday.

All prior attempts at ceasefire have stalled because of intrisic disagreement from both sides.

Israel demands that Hamas completely disarm in exchange for the termination of hostilities.

Hamas fails to comply with international requirements while insisting that Israeli military forces retreat from Gaza and cease hostilities indefinitely.
