Suspense crime, Digital Desk : During a recent Fox News interview, former President Donald Trump disclosed that India is ready to remove all tariffs on goods from the U.S., however, he stressed that there’s no urgency to complete a trade deal.
India’s Trade Offer
Trump stressed that India is willing to provide more favorable terms to American exporters. “They make it almost impossible to do business. Do you know that they’re willing to cut 100% of their tariffs for the United States?," Trump remarked. While no timeline was provided, Trump’s comments indicate that some progress might be made regarding the trade relationship between the United States and India.
Trade Deal Timeline Unclear
Despite Trump’s appreciation for the negotiations, he underscored the lack of urgency to reach a deal. “That’ll come soon. I’m in no rush. Look, everybody wants to make a deal with us,” he stated. Additionally, Trump pointed out that he has no plans to negotiate deals with all countries, suggesting a limited approach to global trade relations.
Upcoming Import Duty Decisions
Earlier that same day, Trump stated that new import duties for a range of countries would be announced in the coming weeks. These measures are part of the administration’s larger strategy to impose reciprocal tariffs.

Talking about the recent development of trade relations with China, Trump pointed out US tariffs had dropped from 145% to 30% and China’s from 125% to 10%. He described the shift as an act of goodwill although claiming it has saved the Chinese economy from trouble is questionable.
