Paramount Pictures will theatrically distribute The Angry Birds Movie 3, set for a global release on January 29, 2027. Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride return to voice Red, Chuck, Silver, and Bomb, respectively.

New voice cast members include Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, James Austin Johnson, and Psalm West.

Production Partners and Creative Team

The film is a collaboration between Rovio and SEGA, produced alongside Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, Flywheel Media, One Cool Group, and dentsu. John Rice returns as director, while the screenplay is written by Thurop Van Orman, who also executive produces alongside Toru Nakahara.

Producers include John Cohen, Dan Chuba, and Carla Connor.

Musical Score and Visual Development

Heitor Pereira, Grammy Award-winning composer known for his work on Despicable Me and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, returns to score the third installment. Animation is handled by DNEG Animation, with Jeanie Chang as production designer and Francesca Natale as character designer. Vadim Bazhanov leads the story team, and Sarah K. Reimers serves as lead editor.

A Global Franchise Returns

Following the success of the first two films—which grossed over $500 million globally and performed well on streaming platforms—The Angry Birds Movie 3 aims to build on that momentum. Paramount Pictures, in its first theatrical partnership with Flywheel Media, is positioning the film as a major family release for early 2027.

Statements from Producers and Studio Executives

Producer John Cohen expressed enthusiasm for the voice cast: “Not only do we have Jason, Josh, Rachel, and Danny returning to voice their fantastic characters, but they’re surrounded by an all-star ensemble of comedic talent.”

Marc Weinstock, President of Worldwide Marketing & Distribution at Paramount, added: “Angry Birds transcends mediums and has been embraced the world over. We’re thrilled to partner with SEGA/Rovio to bring this installment to the big screen.”

Don McGregor, CEO of Flywheel Media, commented: “This partnership with Paramount Pictures marks an exciting beginning for our theatrical distribution journey.”
