Students traveling to the UK cannot bring spouses, spousal visas suspended

[ad_1]

Spouse visa has been banned by the British government for students going to study in Britain (UK). After this decision, students going to Britain will no longer be able to take their spouses with them. However, this decision will not be applicable to students going in September this year. This rule will apply to students who will be admitted to Britain in January next year.

Earlier students were given wife visa

Earlier, students going to study in UK were given spouse visa. After graduation, students and their spouses also get a two-year work visa. In the first week of October last year, Britain’s Home Secretary Suella Braverman announced a ban on spousal visas, causing an uproar among students of Indian, especially Punjabi origin. Many people go to Britain without talent or technical education, which does Britain no good.

Locals were affected as Indians started working at low wages

In fact, the British government set a minimum income of 25,600 pounds per annum for people working there in January-2021, but people from India, especially Punjab, came to Britain, who started working at low wages in the hospitality industry. Apart from agriculture and because of this the right to work also began to influence the British system. Also natives of Britain started forcing themselves to work for low wages, which put a lot of pressure on the British government.

2 lakh students by March 2022, of which 80 percent are from Punjab

In the year 2020, 48 thousand 639 Indian students reached Britain. 55 thousand 903 in 2021 and 200978 people arrived in the UK by March 2022, of which 80 percent were from Punjab. This year, by March 2023, the figure has crossed 2 lakh, with 85 per cent of students married, aiming to reach the UK. After moving there, the student’s husband took a low-paying job.
