Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Shashi Tharoor, Congress MP, suggested exercising caution after the Pahalgam attack where 26 civilians were killed on April 22. He acknowledges some security gaps but advocates for restraint in blame.
In his address at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Tharoor drew parallels with the October 7,2023 Hamas attack on Israel, stating that even countries with robust systems can face unforeseen threats.
"Focus Should Be On Resolving The Crisis First", Says Tharoor
Tharoor noted that regardless of whether there were failures, focus needs to be on managing the situation.

“Military experts and planners are rarely if ever, discussed until after the conflict is over. While we don’t hear about the many neutralized threats, we seem to always hear about the very few successful fail cases. Which any country can deem true,” said Tharoor, urging caution on the blame game as the investigation unfolds.
Congress Party's Stand Versus Tharoor's Comments
Congress party has lashed out at the government for ‘serious intelligence and security failures' while Tharoor has called for calm. The party, however, showed ‘unconditional support’ for the government in capturing those responsible.
Tharoor’s comments diverge sharply from the rest of the party, focusing on accountability after dealing with the crisis.
