During a previous conversation with Anupam Mittal, Adani Airports Director Jeet Adani said he would join Shark Tank India, but not as a ‘Shark.’ With the latest promotional video of the show, Jeet has kept his word, as he appears as a mentor on the show. New episodes are set to feature Jeet along with a new ‘Shark’ at the Tank – Srikanth Bolla, founder and chairman of Bollant Industries.
The promo captures the ‘Sharks’ thanking Adani and Bolla for joining them for the Devang Special week, which will focus on celebrating entrepreneur who are differently abled. The promo included some of the most remarkable entrepreneurial pitches featuring an individual who lost an arm in an accident and had to go through the arduous journey of inventing his own prosthetic arm. Another pitch highlights a company marketing paintings made by kids with Down syndrome, and yet another brand specializes in creating audio files for the hearing impaired.
Reflecting on his involvement with charitable works, Adani once remarked, “My approach to philanthropy is more holistic; it aims to impact an entire society and not just single individuals.”
In one of his earlier meetings with Anupam Mittal, Jeet mentioned his interest in social work geared towards helping the physically challenged people. He reminisced about how her grandmother taught him these lessons by taking him to orphanages and old age homes as a child. During that time, Jeet had revealed plans to join Shark Tank India for a unique episode where the contestants were entrepreneurs with disabilities or enterprises that support them. Adapting to tell jokes, Anupam had said, “But you would take all the deals. What do we do?” Suggesting that Jeet passes all his ideas and enters as a Shark, instead of a Shark.
Bolla is set to make his debut on the Tank next week. The young entrepreneur who is also a motivational speaker and author, Bolla, is recognized by Forbes Under 30 and gets international speaking engagements to aid a visually impaired audience. His story was recently dramatized by Rajkummar Rao in 2024 in Sunil's biopic Srikanth, which captured the attention of the critics and the audience and enjoyed tremendous success.
Reflecting on his interaction with Jeet Adani on the set of Shark Tank India, Srikanth noted, “Jeet's thought process of innovation and sustainability deeply impressed me. Exceeding only one’s ambitions, his vision for accomplishing them is parallel only to his humility which is what makes him so remarkable. Meeting him was astonishingly revitalizing and motivating all at once.”
“His innovative thinking is what I as an entrepreneur admire the most. He dreams and aims to achieve with no restriction or limitations which is rare once it comes to most people, especially, when thinking in terms of an Indian startup. Undoubtedly, shifts in relations and developments will correspond to the readiness to transform a multitude of domains along with his deep-seated imperative desire to generate changes, which is indeed admirable. I loved every moment of it.”
