Shalini Ajith: The Former Actress Behind Ajith Kumar's Success Story:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Ajith Kumar, the revered Tamil actor, was recently awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award, on April 28 after turning 54 years old. Ajith has since thanked his wife Shalini Ajith on his social media, thanking her for being greatly influential in the working and personal aspects of his life.

Early Life and Background of Shalini Ajith

Shalini was born with the name Shalini Ajith and came from a family of Pentecostal Christian Malays. She is the youngest of three children with Shamili and Richard as her elder siblings; she was raised by a Muslim father and a Christian mother. All of the siblings have pursued acting as their profession.

Having completed her schooling in Adarsh Vidyalaya and Church Park in Chennai, Shalini further went on to attain a degree from Annamalai University. Apart from movies, she participates in state level badminton tournaments.

Shalini started acting at a very young age. She made her debut in 1983, partaking in the Malayalam film Ente Mamattukkuttiyammakku. Her time in education made her step away from the television and film industry, but with the turn of the millennium, she made a comeback. She stepped back into the limelight during the late 90s, returning with a stunning comeback role in the TV series Amloo, which kickstarted her success in both Tamil and Malayalam cinema.

Shalini met Ajith on the sets of Amarkalam in 1999. Shalini claimed that their on-screen chemistry did translate into a real life relationship. The couple married on 2000 after marrying in Chennai in a private ceremony amongst co stars and family. Post marriage Shalini chose to become a homemaker and currently have two kids, Anoushka and Aadvik.
