Suspense crime, Digital Desk : A new and potentially explosive report alleges that two Iranian nuclear scientists were killed in an Israeli airstrike, adding another volatile layer to the escalating conflict between the two nations. The claim emerged just as Iran was launching its unprecedented drone and missile attack on Israel.

According to Iran International, an Iranian opposition-run news outlet, the alleged strike took place near a military base belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The report suggests this attack on key scientific personnel occurred before Tehran's massive retaliatory assault began.

If confirmed, the targeted killing of nuclear scientists would represent a significant and direct blow to Iran's sensitive nuclear program and a major escalation in the long-running shadow war between the two countries.

This unconfirmed incident follows the confirmed April 1 Israeli airstrike on an Iranian consulate building in Damascus, Syria, which killed several high-ranking IRGC commanders, including two generals. That attack was the primary trigger for Iran's large-scale retaliation against Israel on Saturday.

Neither Israeli nor Iranian officials have officially commented on the alleged killing of the scientists. However, the report injects a new and dangerous element into the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, suggesting that Israel may have conducted further covert operations even as the region braced for Iran's response. The incident, if true, highlights the multi-front, high-stakes nature of the conflict, extending beyond military targets to Iran's strategic scientific assets.
