Rangbhari Ekadashi Vrat Niyam: In each month, there are two Ekadashi days – one in the Krishna Paksha and the other in the Shukla Paksha. This date is set aside for worship, devotion, and fasting to Lord Vishnu. Similarly, the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Phalgun is known as Rangbhari Ekadashi. Rangbhari Ekadashi is also called Amalaki Ekadashi. It is believed that there are certain errands that should not be done on this day. Before we remove any of those doubts, let us find out what is the shubh muhurat of this day first.

When is Rangbhari Ekadashi 2025?

This year, in 2025, the Rangbhari Ekadashi fast will be celebrated on the 10th of March. As per the Panchang, the Ekadashi Tithi in Shukla Paksha of Falgun month will start on 9th March at 7:45 AM and will end on 10th March at 7:44 AM. The fast of Rangbhari Ekadashi will have to be observed on the ninth of March while the next-day fasting will have to be performed on the 10th of March, between 6:50 AM to 8:13 AM. What not to do on Rangbhari Ekadashi

According to the scripture, there are certain Rangbhari Ekadashi do’s and don’ts that have been laid out.

There are certain restrictions on what can be done on Eiakcdahi, more so, any puja performed, will not be deemed successful. Even further, there are numerous issues that surround us in day to day activities. What is important to note is what can be avoided on Rangbhari Ekadashi.

Rangbhari Ekadashi does not allow for the use of rqce. It is said that any person who ingest rice is subject to being reincarnated as a maggot.

Make sure not to shave or trim your nails on Ekadashi. It can cause complications within the home. Deities must not be disturbed, else they will feel angry.

On the urge to fast Rangbhari Ekadashi, shampoo, oil, and soap can not be used.

On the day of the fast, people fasting should not hold grudges against anyone for any reasons.

You may pray to the Tulsi plant and offer water to the plant, but do sowhering water neither onto nor onto the plant.

Giving Mother Tulsi water breaks her fast, which is why she observes Nirjala Ekadashi fast. Thus, please do not water the plant.

One Ekadashi day, Tulsi leaves can not be plucked. If done so, Goddess Lakshmi will be angered which may lead to loss of wealth.

Cooking and eating non vegetarian foods is strictly prohibited on Rangabhari Ekadashi.

A person observing fast should try and do the Ekadashi Puja in the morning and also remember to not sleep for the entire day after the puja.
