PM Modi handed over certificates to 11 lakh Lakhpati sisters, know what was the reaction of the women

On Sunday, in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, PM Modi honored 11 lakh Lakhpati Didis and handed them certificates. ‘Lakhpati Didi’ is the name given to those women of self-help groups who earn one lakh rupees annually. During the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this campaign of making Lakhpati Didis is not just a campaign to increase the income of sisters and daughters. They are empowering the entire family and the coming generations. They are changing the entire economy of the village. 

Meanwhile, there was a lot of enthusiasm among women regarding the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan. The PMO has released a video clip showing the happiness of Lakhpati Didis. Expressing their happiness, women are saying, “We are proud to be Lakhpati Didis. The country’s Prime Minister Modi is taking many steps for women.” While some others are saying, “PM Modi dreamed that every woman should be a lakhpati and most of the women in our group have become Lakhpati Didis.”

 

Lakhpati Didi’s opinion

Lakhpati didis are also giving their views on the concept of developed India by 2047. A didi says, “As everyone knows PM Modi’s dream is to make India develop by 2047. Similarly, I also want five thousand farmers to join our company and all of them to become lakhpatis.” The sides benefiting from the government scheme say that this unique scheme has made them self-reliant. The Prime Minister also released bank loans worth Rs 5,000 crore. This will benefit 25.8 lakh members of 2,35,400 SHGs. 

People from 34 states and union territories included

On August 22, Union Rural Development and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that people from about 30,000 places in 34 states and union territories would join the program on Sunday through a virtual medium. The Union Minister had said that these Lakhpati Didi have not only pulled their families out of poverty, but they are also becoming role models for the rest of the society. According to Shivraj Chauhan, “The Ministry of Rural Development has already created 1 crore Lakhpati Didi. Now our target is to create three crore Lakhpati Didi in three years. ” He also informed that the ministry has adopted a process to enable SHG families to earn an annual income of Rs 1 lakh or more.
