A disturbing incident has emerged from Sector-15 in Noida’s Thana Phase-1 area, where a man allegedly murdered his wife following suspicions of an extramarital affair. The victim, 42-year-old Asma Khan, was brutally killed after being struck on the head with a hammer by her husband, Nurullah Haider (55).
The local police were alerted via Dial 112, after which a police team and forensic experts promptly arrived at the scene. The woman's body has been sent for post-mortem, and the accused is currently in custody.
Son Reported the Crime
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Rambadan Singh, the incident came to light when the victim’s son called the police to report the assault. The police and forensic teams responded immediately and began the investigation at the residence in C-154, Sector-15.
The police confirmed that the couple had been arguing for several days prior to the murder. The altercations reportedly stemmed from the husband’s suspicion of his wife's character.
Family Members in Shock
The brother-in-law of the deceased revealed that the victim’s daughter informed the family about the incident early in the morning. “They were having frequent disputes. But none of us thought it would lead to something like this,” he stated. He also confirmed that the accused used a hammer to carry out the fatal assault.
