Noida: The festival of Raksha Bandhan is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. In such a situation, the Noida police have set an example of humanity on this occasion. Under the leadership of ACP Praveen Kumar Singh, policemen celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan by getting Rakhi tied by poor children and also distributing sweets to the children. On this occasion, the Inspector in charge of Police Station Sector 39 Jitendra Kumar Singh was also present. Policemen celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with children living in slums and huts in Sector 44 of Noida.

It is worth noting that according to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated every year on the full moon day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Shravan. On this day, sisters tie Rakhi to their brothers and brothers promise to protect their sisters. This time the festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on 19 August i.e. today. The auspicious time to tie Rakhi was after 1:30 pm today.
