The MLC or Major League Cricket just issued a statement indicating the relocation of its headquarters from San Francisco to a Dallas suburb, as part of a strategy to expand brand engagement with the US market. The new headquarters will now be located in the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium which is approximately 15 miles from Downtown Dallas.

The stadium will also be the home to the Texas Super Kings, one of the six teams in the league. The Super Kings are co-owned by the Chennai Super Kings of the Indi;an Premier League alongside billionaire Perot Ross Junior and Dallas businessman Anurag Jain.

MLC confirmed that the season campaigns for 2025 playoffs as well as the championship game will be hosted at Grand Prairie Venue. League Chief Executive Officer Johnny Grave, expressed a strong belief regarding the future of cricket in US, ‘How long until it establishes itself, instead of if it will”.

Despite the season being relatively short, from June 12 to July 13, there is optimism. The focus is to fill the off-season gaps for major leagues offering windows into Blockbuster sporting seasons, which, alongside the scheduled time, is a big selling point for the league. Scheduled use of stadium floodlights will enable games to the contested at night, Utah summers often exceeding 38 degrees Celsius in July.

MLC’s Third Season and Future Growth

Cognizant Major League Cricket's (MLC) 3rds season is commencing with franchises covering regions between San Francisco to Washington. The sport will further gain popularity in the US as it has been included in the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028 after a century of absence.

Business Anurag Jain also commented on the MLC's growth stating, “Each sport is growing like a little mushroom. The story has just begun.”
