Suspense crime, Digital Desk : On Monday, the speculation surrounding the supposed meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump in Saudi Arabia was addressed by Kremlin. According to Dmitry Peskov, Trump’s meeting with Putin will certainly understand meeting would be beneficial, but has no plans of traveling to the Middle East mid-May.
Kremlin: Meeting Is “Mandatory” But Require Work First
Peskiw admitted there is a palpable gap between the public and the diplomacy concerning the potential summit. Everyone seems to be talking about it, but the necessary framework needs to be built before snapshot timelines can be established for execution.”
Peskov further stated, “It has to be prepared accordingly and it’s not a walk in the park.” He also highlighted the chatter that exists within Moscow and Washington.
Peskov in conclusion still noted, “So far there are no specifics on this,” and on the contrary to the prevailing interest is still forged ‘blisters’.
Trump Gulf Visiting Card
In a report from Axios, it came under attention that Trump has tentative plans for a visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates where he will attend a summit with Gulf anchors towards the end of the month. He recently claimed that should he land a second term as president, he will focus on ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
Putin-Trump Interactions Carry On
Although they have no planned face-to-face interactions, both Trump and Putin have had phone conversations multiple times throughout 2025. The two seem to be communicating with each other as Trump attempts to negotiate peacemaking powers in the ongoing Russia Ukraine war.
Putin hasn’t interacted with a sitting US president since the most recent one, Joe Biden, who visited Geneva, Switzerland, in June 2021.
