Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The investigation into a high-profile drug scandal has intensified, with Tamil actor Krishna being detained for questioning by Bengaluru's Central Crime Branch (CCB). The case revolves around a lavish rave party held last month where large quantities of narcotics were seized.
The probe is now expanding further into the Kollywood film industry. According to reports, at least two other actresses, identified as Hema and Swarda, are also under the scanner. Hema had previously tested positive for drug consumption after her blood sample was taken at the party.
The scandal erupted in May when police busted a rave party at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The event was allegedly organized by a former software engineer turned suspected drug peddler, Lakshmi Narayan Choudhary. Authorities seized cocaine, MDMA, and other illegal substances at the scene.
Actor Krishna, who was present at the event, has maintained his innocence. He claims he attended the party briefly for dinner at a friend's invitation and was unaware of any drug-related activities. He stated he left before the police raid took place. Another actor, Abbas, was also reportedly questioned in connection with the case.
The CCB is now conducting a thorough investigation, focusing on the supply chain of the drugs and tracking the financial transactions involved. The detention of Krishna marks a significant development as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the network linking the entertainment industry to the illegal drug trade.
