Julia Fox's sheer fashion raised eyebrows during the after party of the Oscars and is one of the looks for the books. The singer and model wore a see-through gown on the Oscar’s red carpet which was nude toned with strategically placed flowing black hairlike patterns and arrived at the venue without a top on. That was perhaps the boldest look of the night.

It did not take long for people to decide what to say about the dress. Immediately, those attending the party started comparing it to Sandro Botticelli's The Birth of Venus painting. And it is no surprise; Fox's hair was styled as if it is cascading around her face like the Spurs of the goddess.

Fox's dress was a centerpiece of controversy and served as a political statement wherever she went. The reason attempted reading of vice versa of provocation.

The gown, on the wide end of the floor, was a mix of sheer black and black swirls. This clung to her body like a second skin while the swirls resembled tresses. The black swirls gave an illusion of art and her cutting edge ideas gave new life to fashion. Julia posed with confidence at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty which signified the outfit reveal on the red carpet.

Known for her bold aesthetics, Foxies’ risk-heavy fashion choices have always kept her under high-fashion conversations; and this latest dress-cum-controversy is no exception. Some critics praised it as a daring classic high fashion homage, while others deemed it as sensationalist art for the sake of shock value.

While Fox’s makeup is subtle blush complimenting her soft bun hairdo the dress did most of the talking, her bangs framed her face giving Nike goddess not Venus. Fox routinely dabbles in sheer and bold, rarely does she settle for anything conservative or non-statement-grouping.

As one of the top super-high fashion icons Fox has made a name for herself as one of the hardest red carpet performers to ignore, rightfully so. Whether it was a shaving and tattooing of pornography or loose fabric amalgamation that seeks to reimagine the renaissance period she ingrained into people’s minds that she proves time and again that she has repeatedly zero boundaries to adopt when it comes to the red carpet.
