Legendary Bollywood actor Jeetendra celebrated his 83rd birthday on April 7. The celebration took place in the company of his family and a few close friends. Jeetendra, known for his dance skills and hit films, continues to be a respected name in the Indian film industry.
The event was intimate, with screenwriter Mushtaq Sheikh sharing happy photos from the evening on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse of the occasion.
Ektaa Kapoor and Industry Colleagues Celebrate the Day
Producer Ektaa Kapoor, Jeetendra’s daughter, was present at the gathering, along with friends from the film and television industry including Anita Hassanandani, Samir Soni, and Neelam Kothari. Mushtaq Sheikh captioned the photos, “Celebrating the man for all seasons. The evergreen Jeetu uncle on his 83rd Bday!! There is nobody like him. I repeat - nobody!”
Still Stylish at 83
Jeetendra wore a pastel pink blazer, showing off his timeless fashion sense. Ektaa also shared pictures from the celebration on her Instagram stories, including a photo with Jeetendra, Anita, Mushtaq, and a friend, captioned, “Bday boy n us.”
A Career Spanning Nearly 200 Films
Jeetendra began his acting career in 1964 with Geet Gaya Patharon Ne. Over the next four decades, he starred in close to 200 films. He gained popularity through films like Himmatwala, Dharam Veer, Tohfa, and Caravan. His work includes Hindi films, South Indian remakes, and a few films with international influence.
Strong Family Ties
Off-screen, Jeetendra is known for his close family ties. He is married to Shobha Kapoor and is the father of Ektaa Kapoor and actor Tusshar Kapoor. The Kapoor family remains an important part of the Indian entertainment world.
