The festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated on 26 August 2024 in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. On this day, at midnight, Kanha ji will be anointed with Panchamrit in the temple premises of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. After this, Yashoda’s Nandlal will be worshipped with full rituals.
Janmashtami will be celebrated on 27 August 2024 in Vrindavan, which is called Krishna’s Leelasthali. On this day, Mangala Aarti will be performed in the world-famous Banke Bihari temple.
