Krishna Janmashtami 2024: Every year the festival of Janmashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Lord Krishna is worshiped on this day. Special preparations are made on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami in the famous Krishna temples of the country. On this day, Kanha ji is specially decorated. Not only this but various types of offerings are also offered to Laddoo Gopal. On the day of Krishna Janmashtami, grand tableaux of Bal Gopal are also prepared in temples and homes. So if you are also going to decorate the tableau this Janmashtami, then definitely keep these rules in mind.
Follow these rules while decorating a tableau on Janmashtami
- It is considered auspicious to decorate the tableau of Laddu Gopal in the northeast direction of the house. The tableau should not be decorated in the south, west, or south-west direction.
- Use Vaijanti flowers, Ashoka leaves, mango leaves, banana pillars, etc. to decorate the tableau.
- To decorate the tableau of Kanha, do not use thorny flowers, leaves, plants, rubber plants, and plants that yield milk.
- Do not use broken items to decorate the tableau of Lord Krishna.
- If you are decorating a tableau at home on Janmashtami, then definitely keep peacock feathers, flute, and statues or pictures of cow and calf in it.
- Place the flute near Lord Krishna’s swing or idol. Place the peacock feather near Kanha’s crown or swing.
- Make sure to use Vaijayanti flowers to prepare the tableau. Vaijayanti flowers are very dear to Kanha ji.
