The release of Mona Lisa coincides with J-Hope's return from military service and the start of his HOPE ON THE STAGE concert tour. During the domestic leg, he performed for 37,500 fans over three nights.

He also performed Sweet Dream, a previous R&B collaboration with American artist Miguel, released on March 7. The track features melodic arrangements and emotional lyrics, continuing his musical exploration beyond K-pop.
