Inside Phra Chedi Chaimongkol

The user on TikTok @viewyeahhh claimed to be the first user and said the viral event took place with the Phra Chedi Chaimongkul in Ayutthaya.

The temple is one of the Buddhist temples of Thailand. It is in the pagoda’s top where approximately Buddha’s relicks are preserved.

As reported by another user of social media who had previously shared the video on IG, the women tourists most likely did not use a guide therefore they walked freely inside the temples.

“The incident happened around the late afternoon which is when temples have less staff moving round,” the user wrote.

Their deeds make it difficult for Indians on vacation to retain dignity

Clips of the women went viral and received criticism from many, including Indians on social media. Some went as far as to say that these few people's actions are damaging the image of Indian tourists around the world.

While the identities of the two women have not been established, another Instagram user posted the same video, suggesting rather innocently that the women must be from the UK or Canada.

The mango-plucking Indian women started going viral just after another controversial video began circulating on social media of supposed Indian tourists drinking and throwing trash on the beach at Pattaya.
