In his complaint, Singh alleged that some people wearing saffron robes entered the room and started beating him with sticks. He claims that he was attacked during a live show on a private channel broadcast from Noida on a Friday afternoon. ‘IIT Baba’, or Abhay Singh as he is known, rose to fame during the Maha Kumbh Mela in India. After gathering outside a police station in Sector 126, he was persuaded to end his protest by local authorities.
SRI Bhupendra Singh, the officer in charge at Sector 126, noted, “My intentions were clear… I desired to make him suffer no further.”
