New Delhi : Thousands of people in India use WhatsApp to send messages. This company also keeps on giving new updates every day to improve its user experience. Recently, the app added an option to edit sent messages.
Now WhatsApp has started rolling out the ability to edit sent messages on Android and iOS. The meta-key messaging service began beta testing the feature for its mobile app and WhatsApp Web in early May and recently announced that the feature is now rolling out to users on iOS and Android.
How will it work?
The new feature works like a message sent through Apple’s Messages app, and users will have a small window in which to edit messages sent on WhatsApp. You can edit sent text messages on WhatsApp as many times as you want, but the app has set a time limit of 15 minutes.
You can only edit messages sent from your account within the time limit. For this, you and the receiver will need the latest version of WhatsApp.
how to use
-
- To use the new Edit Message feature for WhatsApp, you need to update to the latest version from the App Store and Google Play Store.
- After this open WhatsApp on Android and iOS.
- Touch and hold the message you want to edit to select it.
- Now select Edit from the message context menu in iOS or the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the screen in Android.
- Instead, type your new message in the text field.
- Tap on the green tick button next to the text box to save your editing message.
