IAF Plane Crashes in Jorhat, Assam, Caught Fire After Landing

Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : The Indian Air Force plane has crashed in Jorhat, Assam. As per the reports, the aircraft caught fire shortly after it made an emergency landing inside the airbase.

The AN-32 transport aircraft of Indian Air Force had reportedly crashed at Jorhat airbase in Assam on Saturday. While, the cause of the crash is yet to be determined, reports suggested the aircraft suddenly caught fire soon after it had made a landing inside the military base, leading to the crash. The aircraft, as per initial media reports landed on the airbase's runway, but was seen engulfed in flames shortly thereafter. The fire sent the airbase into a state of panic and the emergency response team of the Indian Air Force was pressed into action immediately.

After receiving information regarding the accident, emergency response team, rapid response unit and the fire tenders present on the airbase were deployed to the location. An emergency response operation to extinguish the fire and to rescue the crew, and others on board was immediately undertaken by the Indian Air Force officials. However, a statement from the Indian Air Force officials regarding the survival of the people onboard and the exact reason behind the mishap is still awaited.
