In an alarming incident, Kuldip Tyagi, 46, a realtor from Ghaziabad in Delhi, shot his wife Anshu Tyagi and subsequently committed suicide. This tragic event happened around 11 am Tuesday in their house located at Radha Kunj Society.

As per the police reports, Kuldip used his licensed revolver. His two sons, who were present in the house, rushed to their parents’ room upon hearing gunshots. They discovered that their mother was dead, lying on the bed and their father dead on the floor. Both were immediately transported to a nearby hospital; however, they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Suicide Note Reveals Hidden Illness and Emotional Strain

A peculiar inscription included in a note left on the scene suggests Kuldip struggled with a secret illness. He self diagnosed around a week prior, but did not disclose that information to anyone else. The note also stated that he did not want to waste money on the treatment, and adding on to his cancer diagnosis, he opted to murder his wife in order to commit suicide while stating that it was a solemn promise to stay together forever.

The note stated:

“I have cancer and my family does not know. I do not wish for any money to be spent on my treatment because I have no certain way of surviving. I am taking my wife with me because we promised to stay together till the end. This decision is mine. Nobody, particularly my children, should be held accountable.”  

Police Investigation Underway  

Officials have recovered the weapon and the two bodies have been sent for postmortem examination. Poonam Mishra, a Senior Police Officer, confirmed the case and said that her work is in progress. “Suicide note leaves no doubts regarding the reason behind their actions. We are in the process of confirming all information provided including the medical history,” Mishra explained.
