Come to my cabin, will have to come... Lucknow University professor was going to leak the paper, the police arrested him:
The matter of Lucknow University of Uttar Pradesh is in discussion again. An audio of an assistant professor offering to leak the paper has gone viral. In the audio, professor Paramjit Singh is clearly heard having indecent talk with the girl student and is asking her to do the exam question paper in leaked form.
It is being reported that in the said audio of professor Paramjit Singh, an assistant professor in Zoology, is trying to convince the student (a final year B.Sc student) that he is trying to convince the student that she should come back home from holidays before the exam. Professor Paramjit Singh is clearly audible in the audio that is going viral: "Come home before the exam and I will give you the paper." He is also heard saying that he had already leaked the paper.
Phone abused on girl
On the other hand, Paramjit Singh called up the girl and persuaded her to leave her vacation and return home. He also abused him and is clearly heard saying in the audio: I have leaked the paper to you and will do every possible thing for you. It is heard in the audio that professor is making her fly. In the audio clip which has gone viral, Singh is asking the student to come to his cabin saying: will have to come to my cabin, once at least.
Girl refused
On the contrary, in the audio it is heard that in the phone call, the girl is heard telling the professor that I do not need to know any papers as my studies are complete. Ever since, this incident occurred, the girl has been worried and she complained to the administration which initiated legal action from the administration.
Accused professor is under interrogation
Taking notice of the incident and student unrest, angry students have protested against professor Paramjit Singh by encircling the proctor office. The administration has seriously taken the matter and complained in police station Hasanganj after which police detained the accused professor. The professor is currently under police interrogation.
Professor denies allegations
Prior to the arrest, Professor Paramjit Singh strongly refuted all the charges leveled against him, saying that he was being deliberately framed in internal political conspiracy at the university level.
A committee was formed for the investigation
The university administration has formed a special committee for an internal inquiry into the matter and has been given a deadline of 24 hours to submit its report. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J.P. Saini, has directed the university's Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to complete its thorough investigation in the matter and submit the report within 24 hours. The university said in a statement that acts that degrade the dignity of the university and its environment would not be tolerated under any circumstances and it would take zero tolerance policy in the said issue.
ABVP demands stern action
After the leak of the audio, the university students were enraged with Professor Paramjit Singh and protested in a large number, students' organizations including ABVP demanded that the accused teacher should be suspended and punished.
