Hazaribagh Road Railway Station RPF: On receiving information about child trafficking from train number 12365 Patna-Ranchi Janshatabdi Express at Hazaribagh Road Railway Station of Dhanbad Railway Division of Eastern Railway, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) took immediate action and detained a youth along with four minor children.

The RPF received information about child trafficking. A search was conducted in coach D-5 of the train. A young man was found traveling with four young children under suspicious circumstances. Following this, the RPF took action.

During interrogation by the RPF, the youth identified himself as Pintu Rathore, a resident of Nadiawa village in Jehanabad district, Bihar. When asked for information about the children, he was unable to provide a satisfactory answer. As his relationship with the children and the purpose of his travel remained unclear, the RPF arrested him, while the four children were safely rescued.

The youth and the children were rescued and brought to the RPF post at Hazaribagh Road. All the children were then handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Giridih, to ensure their protection and rehabilitation.

The voluntary organization Vanvasi Vikas Ashram played a key role in this entire incident. Uttam Kumar, coordinator of the organization, explained that under the "Just Rights for Children" campaign, the Koderma team received information about possible child trafficking via train, which was immediately shared with the Giridih team. Following this, the RPF was informed and an investigation was conducted, which led to the timely rescue of the children from trafficking.

Uttam Kumar appealed to the public that if they witness any child trafficking or any suspicious activity anywhere, they should immediately report it to the Government of India's toll-free helpline number 1098. This will help protect minor children from the clutches of traffickers. Along with Uttam Kumar, Chhotelal Yadav, Bhagirathi Devi, and other coordinators also played an important role in this campaign.
