Chief Minister's helpline service launched in Chhattisgarh, will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Tuesday launched the helpline '1076' on dialling which any citizen would be able to make all his/her complaints known to the top brass administration. Informing about this, officials said on Tuesday, the CM launched the much-awaited CM Helpline 1076 by pressing the button in Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan and a logo of CM Helpline system was released by the CM on this occasion.

On this occasion Chief Minister Sai said, "The state government is committed to listen to every citizen of the state and dispose of the problems posed by them in due time and ensure accountability in governance and administration". He said that complaints and suggestions received from citizens across the state during 'Good Governance Festival' highlighted the need for an appropriate, strong, and permanent public relations system and this CM Helpline system is developed keeping in mind that.

'Relation of public and administration will become stronger'
Chief Minister said, "Now citizens can make their complaints, give suggestions and give feedback on schemes and services of government by dialling the toll-free number 1076. This system will be helpful for the good governance, transparency and accountability, and further strengthen the relation of public and administration".

'8,000 officers of 42 departments to be involved in the helpline'
Keeping in mind the demand of digital era Sai said, this helpline is also associated with WhatsApp in such a way that all citizens can make their suggestions known to government through the help of mobile phone. The Chief Minister also mentioned that this system is special due to its wide outreach; around 8,000 officials from 42 departments of state government will be included in it, whereas a system will be in place for the resolution of problems at 1,195 levels within a stipulated period.

You will receive a special number after your complaint is filed.
The applicants will receive a unique number after their complaint is registered in CM Helpline, through which they will also be able to track the application. If the complaint is not resolved at any level and if a complainant is unsatisfied with the proposed solution, then that specific complaint will be automatically re-scrutinised at a higher level of government, which will eliminate any chance of superficial solution.

The service will be available 24x7
Chief Minister also stated that the CM Helpline system will be functioning 24x7 and officers have been deployed in 3 shifts to run it, a regular monitoring of this system will be done through dashboard by Secretary level officers and Chief Minister's Secretariat will constantly monitor the working of this system as well. Chief Minister Sai also said that it will not just provide an outlet to citizens' grievances but will also help in establishing good governance. The citizens will be able to post their suggestions to the government regarding development in the state.
