In a disturbing incident in Hyderabad, a 30-year-old Bollywood actress narrowly escaped an alleged assault after being misled under the pretext of attending a store inauguration. As reported by Munsif News 24x7, the actress, who resides in Mumbai, was invited on March 17 by a friend from Hyderabad to attend a shop opening event.
She was promised airfare and a stipend for her presence at the event. The actress arrived in Hyderabad on March 18 and was provided accommodation at an apartment in Masab Tank, Shyam Nagar Colony.
According to the report, an elderly woman greeted her and ensured all basic amenities were provided. However, on March 21, the situation took a grim turn. Two women entered the apartment and began pressuring the actress to take part in illegal activities. Later that day, three men joined them and attempted to force the actress to comply with their demands.
When she refused, the men allegedly assaulted her physically. Her screams for help and threat to call the police reportedly caused the men to flee the scene. The elderly woman and the two other women allegedly continued to hold the actress captive and also stole ₹50,000 in cash from her belongings.
The actress immediately called for help, and local police responded promptly. A formal complaint was registered at the Masab Tank Police Station, and a case has been officially filed.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident and working to identify and arrest those involved in the attempted assault and theft. The actress, though emotionally shaken, is said to be safe.
To protect her privacy, the identity of the actress has not been disclosed. The incident has sparked significant public concern, especially regarding the safety of female celebrities during promotional appearances and public events.
The situation also raises questions about the process of verifying such professional invitations and the lack of security protocols for public figures traveling for work-related commitments.
As the investigation continues, the entertainment industry and the public await further updates, hoping for justice and improved safety measures for those in the spotlight.
