Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Akhilesh Mishra, CEO of the BlueKraft Digital Foundation, has once again sparked the controversy over Ashoka University lecturer Ali Khan Mahmudabad by recounting his family’s history of nobility and politics in a post on social media. This comes after Mahmudabad’s controversial remarks regarding Operation Sindoor, India’s recent military action post the Pahalgam terror attack.

Mahmudabad’s father is late Mohammad Amir Mohammad Khan who fought for over forty years, trying to convince an Indian state that had captured his assets under the Enemy Property Act of 1968.

Enemy Property Act and Mahmudabad Family’s Legal Battle
The Enemy Property Act of 1968 governs the properties left in India by individuals who migrated from India to countries regarded as enemy nations. Mishra shared a video of former Union minister Arun Jaitley highlighting how at one point the Supreme Court, to the astonishment of many, did allow the son of Mahmudabad to inherit the contested properties.

Mishra attacked the UPA government of Congress stating that an ordinance by former Minister P Chidambaram seeking to reverse the SC ruling was bound to die in the corridors of power due to vote bank politics. He further added that this scenario was entrenched during the BJP rule in 2017, when they legally prohibited the family from the Mahmudabad estates.

Mishra blames Mahmudabad for “malignant publicity” of the Sindoor Operation and associated it with Punjab’s agenda. This comes after Mahmudabad’s social media comment where he referred to India’s media relaying of Operation Sindoor which had women officer presence like Col Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh as “optics” and “hypocrisy.”

During a surge in national security concerns, Mishra termed Mahmudabad’s remarks ‘diabolical deceitful endeavors designed to foster a chasm between Hindus and Muslims’ as an excuse. Mishra posed the question who seeks the benefit from such discourse.

The latter statement did not provide reasoning in support of the alleged remark.

Operation Sindoor And The Prominence of The Women’s Role In It

Sindoor was India’s military response to Pakistan’s Pahalgam terror attack which resulted in 26 fatalities. Significantly, the preliminary briefings were given by women officers alongside Secretary of the Foreign Office Vikram Misri. This represented the pinnacle of the Indian Armed Force’s revision in public relations strategy.
