Four people, including a mother and son, died while trying to save a cyclist, and seven were injured
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Four people including mother and son have been killed, and seven injured, while trying to save a cyclist and a car hit, has flipped, on Araria-Purnia road in Bihar near Kusiyargaon Park on Wednesday afternoon while saving a cyclist and seven other critically injured. They were on the way for the Sharddh ceremony. The deceased were Mohammad Konan (25) a cyclist of Gaiyari, Araria and Mayanand Jha (70), Shanti Devi (68) and Gautam Kumar Thakur @ Rantu (49) residents of Sakma Bishanpur, Aamor, Purnia. Among the dead were Shanti Devi and her son Gautam. They had set off from Aamor at noon by a Scorpio to attend a Shraddha ceremony at a relative's house at Ramnagar in Madhepura. Police have seized both cars and have been on a look out for the absconding Scorpio driver who is reported to have gone after committing the crime, taking his car along.
The bodies of the dead were taken to Sadar hospital for post-mortem. Four people travelling in a car from Araria to Purnia and three people traveling in a Scorpio were killed. Three people critically injured have been rushed to a higher center for further medical help. 44 years old Lakshmi Devi and 40 years old Madhulata Devi and 35 years old Jawahar Jha residents of Sakma Bishanpur have been critical. Among the four victims were the deceased mother and son, their mother and brother of the victim, from Sakma Bishanpur and the cyclist from Araria. 70 years old Mayanand Jha, 68 years old Shanti Devi and 49 years old Gautam Kumar Thakur were in a Scorpio. Gautam Kumar Thakur, 49, was a Public Relations Officer (PRS) under the MNREGA program in Baisi. After the incident, both the vehicles were seized by the police who reached there along with the rescue team. After taking information, the city police and traffic police have taken over the whole situation. They rushed all the injured persons to Sadar hospital. 4 died in accident, 7 injured, and they had been going for the Sharddh ceremony and trying to save a cyclist when a Scorpio car has killed the people who had went to save cyclist in which 4 were dead.
Traffic DSP, in-charge, Raghunath Singh has said that 4 persons were killed in accident near Kusiyargaon park. After the post-mortem, the dead bodies have been handed over to their family. Police seized both the car and a police investigation is underway.
