DL rules update - All the online services of Up Transport Department can now be obtained at over 1.5 lakh public convenience centers. For online application of learners license and many other services, these centers will charge a fee of 30 rupees. Till now, cyber cafe proprietors and agents were demanding exorbitant fee for the services. People will not need to go to RTO office with this new Move of Yogi government. This assertion was made by the Chief of the Department Dayashankar Singh on Thursday. The minister stated that the API of the CSC Digital Seva Portal and SBI-MOPS payment gateway are now integrated with CSC wallet.

The fee to avail the service is as follows:

According to Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh, the charges for offering services of the Transport Department at Jan Suvidha Kendras have been predetermined. Users must pay only Rs 30 to the associate of the CSC for the successful completion of any service or facility transaction. Users must also separately pay for document scanning, uploading, printing and photocopying. The set fee for these services are Rs. 2 per page upload, Rs. 3 per page print, and Rs. 2 per page photocopy. It is also noted that for other basic facilities, a fee is required.

The Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh recommends that these new amendments should benefit the low-income groups in society as they will be less prone to corrupt ripple effects after this policy is enacted. These services offered by the Transport Department (learning licenses, address changes, name changes, change of photo and signature, duplicate licenses, issuing of duplicate DLs…) can be applied for at a CSC without setting foot in the RTO office.
