The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is concerned with the Indian Premier League (IPL) stakeholders after a report regarding a potential breach to its integrity. The Anti-Corruption Security Unit (ACSU) reported that a Hyderabad-based businessman suspected of being a fan is attempting to crash the league under bookies' and betting syndicates' wings.
All Stakeholders Informed: Players, Coaches, Commentators, Support Staff, and More Under Watch
As per the BCCI Advisory:
Franchise owners
Players
Coaches
Support staff

Their families
The individual has come under scrutiny for trying to win over the fans in the IPL by pretending to be one, only to network with high-profile people in the IPL. As part of his strategy, he offers expensive jewelry as pendants to family and friends of the players, then proceeds to host them and their children to fancy parties and private get-togethers.
Modus Operandi: Social Media, Fan Masquerade, Jewelry Purchases
The businessman is purportedly trying to:
Contact relatives of the players and the owners of the teams.
Stay in team hotels and attend their games.
Post on social media to get in touch with overseas family members.
Pledge large amounts of cash, gifts, and shopping to the children.
Every one of these contacts must be documented right away, and any stakeholder is highly discouraged from having contact—direct or indirect—with associated parties.
New issues have emerged highlighting the technology concerns as pointed out by ACSU
The ACSU pointed out how securing the tournament has become more difficult due to the development of technology. The BCCI also emphasized that there will be no corruption of any type and will extend complete backing and security to anyone willing to disclose dubious actions.
