A huge crowd of people was seen in his funeral procession. Baba Siddiqui’s mother and aunt were also buried in the same Bada Kabristan where Baba Siddiqui was buried.

Baba Siddiqui was a popular face in Maharashtra politics. He left Congress this year and joined the NCP (Ajit faction). He was known for throwing grand Iftar parties, which were attended by famous Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, and Shahrukh Khan. His parties were full of big and small stars of Bollywood. He was in Congress for 48 years and was also an MLA from Bandra West thrice. He was also a state minister in Maharashtra.
