The Garib Rath Express was almost involved in an accident that took place a few hours ago near Lucknow, UP on Wednesday (April 16). The train was halted right before the wooden piece was discovered placed on the tracks between Dilawar Nagar and Rahimabad stations.
The driver of Kashi Vishwanath Express demonstrated alertness which averted the Express from succumbing to a derailment when a large obstruction was noticed and reported to the railway authorities. The Garib Rath Express was halted at Malihabad station after an alert was issued.
Sabotage or A Hoax?
Authorities recovered a 6 x 2.5 foot thick wooden plank with unusual red markings along with yellow colored cloth (‘gamcha’) writing Ram Naam, which serves as a gamcha symbol along with budding branches of a mango tree.
The items in question were seasoned including pole number 1109/11 gamcha while removing the mango disc at the rameka bridge was enabled by railway personnel such as Rajesh Ranjan who was rushed to the scene of the man and disabled after the cab driver informed Om Prakash commander several railways at district level over Rahimabad.
Case Filed; All Identified, Investigation Ongoing
A combined task group of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Uttar Pradesh police have registered a case. Police have opened a file in Rahimabad police station as those speaking with the mask have borne the brunt of suspicion.
It's anticipated that forensic experts will review the items that have been retrieved. Every effort is being made to review CCTV cameras from the vicinity, looking for relevant activities of any movements who may have placed the obstruction.
The case was first registered by RPF Inspector Hukum Singh and Rajesh Ranjan as initial responders.
