Popular digital content creator Apoorva Mukhija, known online as The Rebel Kid, has made a strong return to social media after facing intense online harassment. With a following of over 3 million on Instagram, Apoorva has been recognized for her candid voice and creative expression. Her recent reappearance follows a period of social media silence triggered by heavy backlash related to her appearance on India’s Got Latent, where she appeared alongside comedian Samay Raina.

The backlash resulted in a flood of online hate, forcing her to delete her Instagram content, unfollow everyone, and withdraw from the platform.

“Don’t Take Away the Story from the Storyteller”

Apoorva returned with two hard-hitting posts. One included a powerful message: “Don’t take away the story from the storyteller,” reflecting her intent to reclaim her narrative. The second post was more direct — she shared screenshots of disturbing comments and threats she received during her absence, including rape and acid attack threats.

“This is not even 1%,” she wrote in the caption, shedding light on the scale of the abuse and the dangerous extremities of cyberbullying in the digital age.

Mixed Reactions, But a Clear Stand

Her return has ignited a wave of reactions across social media. While many have rallied behind her, praising her resilience and transparency, others continue to criticize her past remarks on the show. Despite the divided response, Apoorva’s posts highlight the growing toxicity of online spaces, especially for women and creators who are outspoken.

A Larger Message on Digital Accountability

Apoorva’s comeback is not just a personal move — it sends a broader message about storytelling, agency, and confronting digital hate. Her willingness to expose the darkest side of internet trolling is a call for accountability in how society treats public figures and creators online.

As Apoorva prepares to resume content creation, it’s evident that her return is about more than reclaiming her space — it's about reshaping the dialogue around online safety and creator mental health.
