Anant Ambani, 29, has begun a 180-kilometre padayatra from Jamnagar to the Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka, Gujarat. Starting March 29, the journey is expected to conclude by April 8, just before his 30th birthday. Walking 20 kilometers each day, the pilgrimage reflects a personal act of spiritual devotion.

This journey is not a public event, but a private expression of faith rooted in Indian tradition. Anant’s walk is guided by principles of Sanatan Dharma and dedicated entirely to Lord Krishna.

Walking Despite Health Challenges

Anant Ambani is undertaking this pilgrimage while facing several health challenges, including Cushing’s Syndrome, morbid obesity, asthma, and a chronic lung condition. His decision to walk nearly 7 hours daily demonstrates a commitment to faith and discipline.

Welcomed by Local Communities

As Anant walks, he is being welcomed by communities along the way. Residents have joined him for short distances, offered prayers, and presented devotional items in reverence to Dwarkadhish.

Two well-known spiritual leaders—Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham and Rasraj Maharaj of the Pushtimarg tradition—have also supported Anant’s journey by their presence.

Focus on Spiritual Practices

During his padayatra, Anant Ambani recites devotional texts including the Hanuman Chalisa, Sundarkand, and stotras dedicated to Goddess Durga. His spiritual routine reflects deep personal discipline and religious focus.

A Consistent Spiritual Outlook

Known for his strong spiritual beliefs, Anant frequently visits major temples across India. He has contributed to the upkeep and restoration of historic temples such as Kalighat (Kolkata), Shrinathji (Nathdwara), and Kamakhya (Assam). He also supported Akharas during the 2025 Mahakumbh and serves as a trustee for Badrinath and Kedarnath dhams.

Simple Journey with Deep Meaning

Accompanied by only a few aides and spiritual mentors, Anant’s journey is quiet and contemplative. In a fast-moving world filled with distractions, this walk represents a personal act of resilience and purpose.
